---------------------Boss to assess loan options
Sir Alex says he is assessing the best way to get some of his fringe players more game-time in the coming months following United's exit from the Carling Cup.
The competition has provided the manager with the perfect opportunity to give a number of the younger players some much needed minutes on the pitch, but the Reds' quarter-final defeat on Wednesday night has left Sir Alex pondering what to do next, with the boss revealing that he is considering sending some players out on loan.
"The problem we have is to do with the Reserve league there is now - it's really a youth league," explained Sir Alex at Friday's press conference.
"That is a big problem. We'll be reviewing the whole situation in terms of how we get more games for the players.
"Loan deals work well for all the young players in terms of getting game-time and that's what we're looking at with Macheda and Diouf. They need games.
"They're young and every young player wants to play and we have to give them that opportunity."
Paul Scholes has been working with United's next batch of promising youngsters in Warren Joyce's Reserves this season.
The former midfield genius runs the rule over those who have been handed new shirt numbers this term in an interview with United Review, the official programme.
Larnell Cole. Midfielder. Age: 18. Born: Manchester.
"An excellent all-round footballer. He can play wide right, central midfield, he can probably play other positions, too. He’s just someone who’s supremely confident on the ball, capable of scoring goals, making chances and he has a chance of being a good player for us, I think. He’s really impressed me. The ball seems almost glued to his foot, he knows exactly where he is on the pitch – which is key for a midfielder."
Zeki Fryers. Defender. Age: 19. Born: Manchester.
"Zeki did really well in his debut at Leeds. He’s a defender so he has to be big, physical and strong. He’s got a nice left foot, as well; he can pick people out with it and hopefully he’ll progress to the first team. It was a great performance at Elland Road. You could understand maybe a few nerves, but he had a lot of experienced players around him and that helped. I think he’ll probably be a better centre-half than full-back at the minute, but he could maybe provide a bit of competition for Patrice Evra somewhere down the road."
Michael Keane. Defender. Age: 18. Born: Stockport.
"Michael’s been great. I hadn’t seen a lot of him till we’d trained with him and had a few games, but he’s come on leaps and bounds from what I hear. Again, he reads the game so well as a central defender, and he also goes forward well. When he wins the ball, he can pass it well, make one-twos and he’s a centre-half who’s very good on the ball.”
Will Keane. Striker. Age: 18. Born: Stockport.
"I really like Will. I think he’s capable of being a top centre-forward. He’s got all the style and skill. His touch and movement are right. When he’s on song and plays with a bit of aggression, he’s unplayable at times. He played up front on his own in a Reserves game at Norwich and he was brilliant, led the line against a really experienced team. He’s a big, strong lad as well and if he gets a bit of nastiness in his game – not hurting people – but using his body more than he does and putting himself about a bit more, then there’s still more to come from him."
Jesse Lingard. Midfielder. Age: 18. Born: Warrington.
"He’s very comfortable on the ball, he can glide past people, he’s very fit and as he’s shown in the last few [Reserve] games he’s capable of scoring goals. Barcelona have shown what can be achieved with small players who are comfortable on the ball. It’s been good for the likes of Larnell and Jesse. They’re not overly big, not big, strong physical players, they’re just really nice footballers who are comfortable in possession."
Paul Pogba. Midfielder. Age: 18. Born: Lagny Sur Mane, France.
"He is a big, strong player. His skill is brilliant, as are his physique and speed. The one thing that he probably needs to tidy up a little bit is his passing, but once that comes right, he’s potentially a top-class player. He came on against Leeds and did really well. All of these players are young and they have plenty of time to progress, and once they tidy up a few little things, they should be fine.”
Marnick Vermijl. Defender. Age: 19. Born: Peer, Belgium.
"The last few weeks, he’s really come on – and you get the impression there’s still more to come from him. He’s physically very fit and strong. He can get up and down as a right-back, he’s capable of scoring goals and making them, and defensively he’s very good. He’s strong, physical and quick. He’s very versatile too, he can play left-back, right-back, centre-midfield… a number of positions, and those types of players are valuable.”
Tom Thorpe. Defender. Age: 18. Born: Manchester.
"He’s a centre-half but I haven’t had the chance to see too much of him in games because our central defenders in the Reserves have been really good so far this season. He works as hard as anybody in training and in time he’ll come on as well. He’s a reliable lad, he reads the game very well as a centre-half, he’s not afraid to put his head in where it hurts and he’s a game player, a nice honest player."
BEYOND GENIUS !!!!!!!!
Mach ama Diouf mah emang mestinya udah di-loan dari awal musim..masa mau dikasi maen klo Carling doang
Shut up Scholesy, and get back to the team!

menang 1-0...
Chico sekarang yang out, sebulan
Kenapaaa?? Kenapaa??
Sayang abis itu jadi boring, dull football lagi...babak kedua bikin ngantuk gila..padahal Villa sendiri ga rapet2 amat pertahanannya, tapi kita shooting aja jarang bangetitu maen formasinya 4-6-0 kayaknya...midfielder semua
Carrick played elegant, and brilliant, but un-noticed...as usual.
Next mesti pergi ke Basel...ga mau ngarep banyak, yang penting lolos deh![]()
damn its true ...Javier Hernandez will miss the busy Christmas period after suffering ankle ligament damage during United’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League.
stock makin tipis ...
sepertinya rooney bakal menjadi penyerang tunggal , i miss goal from roo ......
...... jones
di bayar mahal dengan cederanya Chicharitoand out for a month
tp welbeck back again, agak melegakan ....
some pic :
Spoiler for mengheningkan cipta:
Spoiler for goal's jones:
Spoiler for celebration:
