Woman calls BF 'garbage' because he's broke
A woman in a subway train in Beijing was overheard calling her boyfriend 'garbage' because he is broke. STOMPer Vassili wonders if this is an isolated case, or is that the current sentiment of the modern world.
Wrote Vassili:
"A woman on a subway train in Beijing was heard dumping her boyfriend because she felt that he was useless because he had no money.
"The conversation between the woman and her boyfriend was apparently recorded by another commuter.
"The woman was heard saying to her boyfriend:
"'A man without money is garbage/trash! Not having money, just thinking about it is frightening! You’ll be nothing in the future, and you want me to marry you, forget it! I’m moving out tonight, bye bye.'
"The woman then stormed out of the train, leaving her boyfriend behind.
"Is this an isolated incident, or is this sentiment prevalent among women in general, when it comes to a choice of partner?
"Personally, I've heard many stories about how even husbands in Singapore are getting themselves in huge debts, because they're spending more than they earn, just to make their wives happy.
"And I've also heard many women saying that in the modern world, love is not as important as money, because she can always learn to love a man, provided he has money.
"Maybe I'm an old-fashioned romantic, but what happened to the kind of love that is not judged by how fat a man's wallet is?"
