Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary (聖闘士星矢 Legend of Sanctuary?), is an upcoming 2014 Japanese 3D CG animated film directed by Keiichi Sato and written by Tomohiro Suzuki.[3][4] It is the 6th film based on the series. It is scheduled for release in Japan on June 21, 2014. It will star Kaito Ishikawa, Ayaka Sasaki, Kenshō Ono, Kenji Akabane, Nobuhiko Okamoto and Kenji Nojima as the leading roles. The plot focuses on five young warriors known as Saints that have the mission of protecting Saori Kido, the reincarnation of the goddess Athena.
Premise
The film follows Saori Kido, a young girl troubled by her mysterious powers. She is saved by Pegasus Seiya from an assassin sent to kill her. Saori then learns she is the reincarnation of the Goddess Athena with Seiya being one of her 88 Saints. Upon learning of her destiny, she heads they head to the Sanctuary and wage war against its Pope.[5]
Seiya, alongside fellow Bronze Saints Cygnus Hyōga, Dragon Shiryū, Andromeda Shun and Phoenix Ikki must pass through the twelve Zodiac Temples in Athena's Sanctuary in twelve hours, in order to save their goddess Athena from imminent death. They must confront each of the twelve Gold Saints that guard each of the temples in order to reach the cure that will save Athena.[6]

The casting is composed of new voice actors with the previous version of Seiya having been voiced by Toru Furuya in the anime series Saint Seiya Omega.[7]
Kaito Ishikawa as Pegasus Seiya. He is strong willed boy who keeps to his faith.[5]
Ayaka Sasaki as Saori Kido.[6] She is the reincarnation of Athena who is tossed about her origins and mission.[5]
Kenshō Ono as Cygnus Hyōga. Collected and unemotional, he is a passionate Bronze Saint.[5]
Kenji Akabane as Dragon Shiryū. A calm and considerate Bronze Saint who is willing to risk his life for the others.[5]
Nobuhiko Okamoto as Andromeda Shun. A gentle and kind Bronze Saint who dislikes hurting his enemies.[5]
Kenji Nojima as Phoenix Ikki. A loner Bronze Saint.[5]
Mitsuru Miyamoto as Aries Mu.[6] The calm and realistic Aries Gold Saint who dislikes fighting.[5]
Rikiya Koyama as Taurus Aldebaran. The Taurus Gold Saint who is a straight talker and follows his emotions.[5]
Kōichi Yamadera as Gemini Saga. A man with a pure heart as well as ambition and pride.[5]
Hiroaki Hirata as Cancer Deathmask. A sadistic and malevolent man.[5]
Gō Inoue as Leo Aiolia. The youngest Gold Saint who is passionate for his duties.[5]
Mitsuaki Madono as Virgo Shaka. Believed to be Buddha's reincarnation, he has deep insight.[5]
Masumi Asano as Scorpio Milo. A smart man and honored to be Saint to Athena.[5]
Toshiyuki Morikawa as Sagittarius Aiolos. The late Sagittarius Gold Saint who lost his life after being deemed traitor.[5]
Shinji Kawada as Capricorn Shura. An aggressive man who enjoys fighting.[5]
Daisuke Namikawa as Aquarius Camus. A man who while appears coldhearted, is kind.[5]
Takuya Kirimoto as Pisces Aphrodite. A beautiful man who uses the power of the roses to fight.[5]
