Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie
Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie (宇宙刑事ギャバンTHE MOVIE Uchū Keiji Gyaban Za Mūbī) is a movie based on the original Metal Hero Series, Uchuu Keiji Gavan. While the Metal Hero Series ended in 1999, and the Space Sheriff series ended in 1985, with Gavan only lasting the standard one year, the character has become a tokusatsu icon. The revival of Gavan previously started January this year with Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie, a special team up with the 35th Super Sentai series.
Kenji Ohba reprises his role as Retsu Ichijouji, as he trains the newest Space Sheriff, Geki Jumonji (Gavan Type-G) against the revived Makuku Crime Organization .
Plot
Fifteen years ago, three childhood friends, Geki Jumonji, Shelly and Toya Okuma, were star-gazing and became inspired to go into space. As adults, Geki and Okuma join a mission to Mars before they are labled MIA when their space shuttle mysteriously disappeared while on course due to a strange vortex. It is revealed a year later that Gavan, known on Earth as Retsu Ichijouji, has been training Geki as his replacement to fight the revived Don Horror and his newly recreated Space Mafia Maku. Joining Geki are the successors to Space Sheriffs Sharivan and Shaider, Kai Hyuga and Shu Karasuma.
